i think they had censors in the original copy. it looked to me like they used them as part of their joke. its why they kept saying muhammed every other word instead of "he" or something. especially at the end, the way the speech was extremely long and nothing but one loud beep, i think it was intentional and part of their joke that people want to censor everything.

I don't understand why you would hate on Muslims and their prophet for what some extremists do. Yes, religion in general is very opposing to modern times, but that's no reason to critique someone's beliefs. If you want people to respect your freedom of speech, respect their freedom of practice. I think that all censuring thing is about marketing. It's been a while since a SP episode cosed such big reaction.

In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

I am from Germany and just watched part 2 of the 200th episode...
I was really looking forward for it...
Do you think that it was really beeped by Comedy Central or that the creators just wanted to show how stupid the behavior of some radical muslims is?!
In comparison to the other religious figures (cokeing Buddha, Jesus with Ninja-skills...) you see the difference... x-D
I think Matt and Trey just wanted to use this to make people realize how scared we are of the religion of Islam (which means "peace"

Ah, the Freedom of Speech... Is it free from moral obligations as well? Don't get me wrong here, I strongly believe in it but like everything else, it must have a limit. If its not very immature of me to say, I believe that freedom of speech is ok as long as it is for some positive reasons. Sadly but true, that Muslim feelings dont mean much to the world these days. Go to BBC Europe today and u will see that Danish officials banned a cartoon by some Arabs mocking the Holocaust... Same danish who portrayed Muhammad's cartoons as freedom of speech. The real issue is not how sacred Muhammad is...nor is it a matter of how sacred Buddah, Jesus, or Seaman may be to people. This is purely about freedom of speech. The censorship is becoming insanely unbelievable and it's trampling on our constitutional right to free speech. People have their right to practice their religion. If groups/people are that upset over South Park and its attempt at portraying common sense messages...don't watch it and, certainly, do not send threats thus bringing more attention to the show.

If you retards actually watch the episode you'll notice they incorporated the censorship within the animation (Tom Cruise Part), Comedy Central had nothing to do with it.
Either way, the episode s**ked ass. Worse episode of South Park, hands down. The "Cartman's True Father" gimmick was terrible.
PS: Scott Tennormen? Really? I was hoping the head Ginger would be the guy making all the youtube videos.
